What we ask of our directors

Board service is a meaningful commitment. Here’s what directors can expect to contribute.

Financial Support

Board of Directors shares responsibility for strengthening the organization’s financial sustainability, expanding funding opportunities, and ensuring the resources needed to advance its mission and strategic priorities.

Strategic Engagement

It requires Directors to leverage their expertise, influence, and professional relationships to advance CAAAF’s mission, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and create measurable impact throughout California.

Ambassadorship

Requires a proactive commitment to strengthening CAAAF’s influence, expanding its network of strategic partners, and advancing initiatives that promote economic empowerment, civic engagement, and meaningful opportunities for African American businesses and communities throughout California.
